My parents are originally from Hong Kong and migrated to America over 60 years ago when their Lottery number to come to the United States was drawn. I feel very fortunate that they persevered for many years to finally be granted passage. Being an American citizen is a precious gift.
Although I was born in New Jersey, I have spent the majority of my life in Southern California. Education is an important part of my life. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University in Liberal Studies while at the same time working towards my K-12 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I furthered my education by attaining two additional credentials in Special Day Class and Resource Specialist Program. As if I did not have enough, I continued on for my Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology.
I have been an educator in Lennox for 36 years. I have taught 4, 5, 6 and 8th grade. During my 36 years, I also was a Technology Mentor for the District and worked with all schools in the district to integrate technology.
I now have the wonderful opportunity to educate students at Buford Elementary in 4th grade.
Needless to say, I AM VERY EXCITED TO BE AT BUFORD!
