  • What a birthday is and when they celebrate their birthday
  • Who different family members are
  • Families may be similar and different.
  • What it means to be respectful
  • The difference between a “tattle” and a “tell”
  • How people need each other
  • A sense of community focuses on respect and caring.

Unit 2: How can I be a good citizen?

• Students will learn:
  • How to be a good citizen.
  • What the American Flag represents and its importance.
  • Individual responsibilities as a citizen of the classroom/school community.
  • How choices affect themselves and others.
