At the conclusion of the song, Freddy and Franny Farmer enter and proceed to center stage.

Mornin', friends, howdy do!

We are the Farmers, here to greet you!

I'm Franny Farmer. (she curtsies)

Freddy Farmer's my name. (he bows)

Tending this garden is our claim to fame.

Come into our garden and you'll surely see we're not your average garden variety!

'Cause as the sun rises and you're still in a trance, our vegetables wake up and start to sing and dance.

The music makes them come alive and feel so good, you see. 'Round here some folks call it veggie group therapy!

So now if you're wondering how our garden grooves, sit back and relax, and they'll show you all their moves.

Freddy and Franny exit. Interlude music, afew measures of "How Does Your Garden Groove?" The frenchfriedpotatoes enter wearing French-style berets and speak with a French accent if possible.

FRENCH FRY #1: We are french fried potatoes fresh out of the mud. Please forgive our accents, for we're just little spuds.

_{FRENCH FRY}#2: Everyone loves potatoes and we'll tell you why.

Smash us, mash us, slice us, dice us, and we never cry!

We french fries are the favorites, we go with any meal,

We're the leafy vegetables, in case you haven't guessed. And without us, salads 'cross the land would be undressed.

They're always playing with our heads no matter how we moan. They tear us and they rip us up; they won't leaf us alone.

They shred us and they boil us, and if we cabbages pout, They pack us into plastic bags and call us a 'sour kraut!^"p

But enough of this complaining, lettuce entertain all of you. 'Cause you'll be green with envy when you see what we can do.
