About Me...

I currently teach about 100 of the most awesome kids in the school. They are....my babies! I teach gifted and talented students in Leander Independent School District in a very family friendly elementary school. I love my students, my job, and working for my school district.

During my years of teaching in this school district, I have been encouraged to be a continuous learner. I have also been able to encourage my students to use technology to make the most of their education. They have been very successful creating many fun, challenging, and exciting hands on projects.

I have taught for over thirty years in the following school districts: Weslaco ISD (Weslaco, Texas), Caddo Parish (Shreveport, Louisiana), Dallas ISD (Dallas, Texas), Lake Travis ISD (Austin, Texas), and currently Leander ISD (Leander, Texas). The majority of these years have been in gifted programs. This is where my heart is!

At home, I am the mother of three of the most loving children or should I say adults. I devote my time to my family. Also, I am Ben, Skylar, Tanner, Peyton, Jace, Elise, and Logen's "Grandma". These seven grandchildren are what keep me young. I am a family oriented person and put my efforts into making them happy. Life is good to me!
