Spelling in Leander ISD
The goal of our Fountas and Pinnell Word Study program is for students to learn to correctly spell grade-level appropriate words in their everyday writing, not just for a Friday test. The program reflects the specific behaviors related to the nine areas of learning for letters, sounds, and words that children develop over time:
