About Mrs. Walsh

I’m excited for a great year in 5th Grade! My name is Janna Walsh and this is my 16th year teaching at Deer Creek Elementary. This is my fourth year teaching 5th grade!

I live in Lago Vista with my husband, Phil. My son, Caden graduated from Cedar Park High School and is currently attending UNT in Denton. We have adjusted to being empty nesters!

I haven’t always lived in Texas. I was born and raised in New Orleans, but I have major roots here in Texas. My mom is from East Texas and I’m very close to my extended family who live here in Cedar Park.

Before we came to Texas, I lived in San Diego for about 10 years where I met my husband and received my Teaching Credential from California State University.

When I’m not teaching, I love to garden, play with my dogs, read a good book, go camping, or travel to new places.
