6th & 7th Grade QUEST :
Students take this course as one of their elective class options.The QUEST curriculum is designed to provide challenging learning opportunities for identified QUEST students. QUEST students receive advanced instruction in an interdisciplinary gifted curriculum. This course involves fast paced instruction, multiple projects involving hands-on- learning with presentations as well as rigorous research. Many of the projects are group based but students will also have independent time to showcase their creativity.
Students are expected to be active participants, flexible thinkers, and creatively problem to apply their ideas.

3. How can students know about absent work, and project deadlines?
All QUEST assignments and project information will be found on our Google Classroom.
Students will have Unit Calendars, Deadlines, etcc all through our Google Classroom

For report card purposes, QUEST is a Pass/Fail course.
To help students identify areas of strength and areas for improvement and to demonstrate progress, we use a QUEST rubric with four targeted areas: Task Commitment, Process, Product, and Presentation. Each area has several key descriptors we look for during a QUEST project. Each area receives a score from 1 to 4 (4 being the highest score) by the end of a project. In addition, your child receives a Holistic Score for the entire project and all its components. Unlike the Language Arts rubrics, the QUEST rubric scores do not translate into specific grades. They indicate levels of achievement. The goal is for all QUEST students to demonstrate proficiency in each learning experience. In order to receive a Pass for the report card grade, a student must earn a Holistic Score for the project of at least a 2.5.
4. What is QUEST Lab and when can students come to Lab?
QUEST Lab is a tutorial opportunity for students to work on projects ,complete any work, or get help from the teacher.
