Class Rules and Procedures

Tutorials: Room #1205

Tutorials at lunch are available Monday-Thursday with a 7th grade science teacher and students can go to any teacher for tutorials.

Mr. Perkins will have Wednesday at lunch time (the other teachers have the other days). Teacher room and days for tutorials are posted on each Science teacher's door. Get a pass from your teacher and bring your food.

Grades:

90% of our grade come from our Assessments.

10% comes from daily work.

CORRECTIONS, RETAKE, REDO POLICY

Students will be allowed to correct quizzes, retake unit tests, and redo major projects. Quiz corrections must be completed during tutorials with a 7th grade science teacher. They must use the 4 point correction form to demonstrate learning from the original quiz. Corrections (Quizzes), retakes (Unit Tests), and re-dos (Major Projects) must be done within 5 days of receiving the grade for that assignment. The maximum grade on corrections/retakes/redos is a 90. Students who receive a zero due to academic dishonesty are not eligible for a corrections/retakes/redos.

*Grade notification includes any of the following: being posted on Home Access Center, students grading their own work in class, the grade being emailed to students or recorded in google classroom, or grades being given to the student during a grading conference with a teacher.

Classroom Procedures and Discipline:

I encourage and reward good behavior.

I talk to students about and redirect behavior when it is necessary.

After a warning, students sign a form I have acknowledging our discussion/redirection (so I have a record) and to make it real for them.

If we have to talk about this or other issues again (within the same six weeks) , I will contact the student's parents to make them aware of what is happening. The next step is a D-Hall

or office referral.

Assignments:

Much of our work can be opened, accessed and done in google classroom. Assignments, directions, due dates and resources to complete work are here!
