Reading Intervention

Reading Makes You Smarter!

About Me

I am the Reading Interventionist at North. I earned my Masters Degree in Language and Literacy from the University of South Carolina. My National Board Certification is in Early and Middle Childhood/Literacy: Reading-Language Arts. This is my 10th year at North. I have 21 years of teaching experience including my Florida and Georgia years.

Along with loving to read with my students, I love going on outings with my family. My husband and I have two married daughters, one son and three grandsons. One of our favorite family outings is hiking.

I am excited about our school year! A favorite teaching quote of mine is "Being fair does not mean each child gets the same, being fair means every child gets what every child needs". I am looking forward to reading with my students as I learn how I can best meet their reading needs.
