I was born and raised in Moundsville, WV.  After earning my M.A. in Elementary Education from Marshall University, I moved to Lancaster in 2000 and began teaching at Great Falls Elementary.  After 7 years of teaching 4th grade, I accepted a position at Discovery School and taught ELA and Social Studies in the 4th/5th grades.  After 8 years at Discovery, I moved to A.R. Rucker Middle School to teach 7th grade Social Studies. I completed 4 years teaching  EAGLE at North.  This school year, I am back teaching 5th grade.

Outside of school, I am very passionate about reading, spending quality time with my family and watching sports.  I am a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penguins, and the Marshall Thundering Herd.  

I am married to Angie McGee, one of the school counselors at North, and we have one child, Parker.
