Randi Verbruggen
Hello, my name is Randi Verbruggen. I am excited to serve as the LEST President again. My hope is to make this the best year great for students, families & staff. Please stop and introduce yourself, I’d love to get to know even more of you. This is my 5th year as a Lessenger parent and my 4th year as a LEST board member. My husband Michael and I have 2 daughters, Riley is 9 and in 4th grade. Violet is 4 years old and in preschool. I work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Corewell Health (Beaumont). My family and I can usually be found shuttling between a sports practice, outdoors or relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.
Official Duties: Prepare agenda for meetings. Maintain yearly calendar. Preside at all LEST meetings and over the Executive Board. Be an ex-officio member of all committees, with exception to the nominating committee. Act as liaison between officers and chairperson(s) of standing and special committee(s) and the Principal. Act as liaison between teacher(s) and LEST members. Report in a timely fashion all communication at said meetings to all participating members. Serve as a check signer of all LEST checking accounts.
Co - Vice President
Kerry Sipes
My name is Kerry Sipes and I look forward to continuing to serve on the LEST Board, this year as Co-VP. This is my sixth year on the board, but I have been involved at the school for the last 12 years in various roles such as Room Parent, Robotics Coach, Chess Club Volunteer and Chair of the Donations Committee for the End of Year Raffle. I’m currently a Stay at Home Mom to three boys, Braxton (12th Grade), Beckett (9th Grade) and Ryland (5th Grade). Our house is usually busy with soccer, cross country and track. I look forward to being active with the school as much as possible, and I can’t wait to meet/see you all in person.
Official Duties: Assist the President. Assume the office of Vice President or President in case of permanent vacancy. Assist with coordinating fundraisers. Organize the childcare for monthly LEST meetings or any other school functions (if necessary). Help with the planning of LEST activities.
Co - Vice President
Monica Stevens
My name is Monica Stevens, and this is my first year on the LEST board. My husband Killian and I have two children- Ravenna, who is entering third grade, and Jack, who is starting his first year of preschool at Lessenger. I’ve been a volunteer assistant softball coach in Madison Heights for the last two years, a Girl Scout co-leader for one year, and have been helping at Lessenger events since Ravenna was in kindergarten. Professionally, I work as a nurse at Beaumont Royal Oak in Surgical Services and ER. Non-professionally, I’m a wanna-be photographer and costumer maker. Emphasis on the ‘wanna-be’. I’m super stoked for the new school year, and can’t wait to see the fun unfold!

Secretary
Jennifer Coronado
My name is Jennifer Coronado and I’m excited for my third year on the LEST board serving as Secretary. My husband Eduardo and I have two children at Lessenger, Eduardo who’s in 5th grade and Clara who’s in 3rd grade. I enjoy volunteering and helping out at Lessenger whenever I can. Over the years I’ve helped as a Room Parent, volunteered to help with the Fun Run and Holiday Shop, and helped with the after-school clubs. I look forward to meeting and working with all wonderful families, students, and staff at Lessenger this upcoming year.
Official Duties: Take accurate notes during all LEST meetings, create meeting minutes, and supply highlights of the meetings to the staff through email, as well as to the people who attended. Conduct correspondence (i.e. thank you cards, get well cards, sympathy cards). Compile the school directory. Help with the planning of LEST activities.
Treasurer
Josh Sipes
My name is Josh Sipes and I am excited to serve as the LEST Treasurer this school year. I have been a Lessenger parent for 12 years. My wife, Kerry, and I have three sons -- Braxton, who is a 12th-grader, Beckett, who is a 9th-grader this year and Ryland, who is in 5th grade. This is my seventh and final year as a member of the LEST Board, though I have been active in LEST meetings and activities for several years. My wife and I chair the Walk to School Day event and I am theRoadrunner Road Runners coach for Lessenger. I work in Finance for GM. When not at work or at the school, we are typically bouncing between sports practices and games/meets.
Official Duties: Have custody of all LEST main account funds. Write checks for LEST. Keep a full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures. Provide refunds/reimbursements as authorized by the Executive Board. Present a financial report at every LEST meeting. Present a monthly bank account statement to the President. Make books of the account available for inspection upon the request of the Principal or a member of the Executive Board. Create a yearly report for the annual budget meeting. Create a yearly budget. Help with the planning of LEST activities.
Media Manager
Justine Keel
My name is Justine Keel, looking forward to starting my new role of LEST Media Manager this school year. This is my 1st year on the board but have been invovled with lest the last 2 years. I have 3 kiddos; Lizzy is in 2nd grade, Elliot at the Early on Center and Caleb in parent tot classes this fall. I have volenteered with quite a few LEST events over the least 2 years. I am a Nurse with Gift Of Life and Corewell Emergency Room. I look forward to meeting and working with all the families, students and staff this up coming year.
Official Duties: Update/maintain LEST website. Post updates regarding LEST events on Facebook (Lessenger Parent page) and on Remind. Take photos to document school events and classroom activities of importance. Keep documentation/flyers/media releases of school events and classroom activities. Create the LEST newsletter. Create the Welcome Packet at start of school year. Help with the planning of LEST activities. In the event the Media Manager cannot attend a LEST event or classroom activity, he/she should appoint a reliable alternate to take photos of the event.
Volunteer Coordinator
Jenny Crane
My name is Jenny Crane and I'm excited for my first year on the LEST board serving as Volunteer Coordinator. My husband and I have two daughters, Brooklyn who's in 4th grade and Mackenzie who's in 1st grade. I enjoy volunteering at Lessenger events whenever I can. I work part time as a nurse at a Rheumatology office. Our kids keep us busy with various sports/activities throughout the year but in our free time we enjoy going up north to Manistee.
Official Duties: Work with committees and board members to determine need of volunteers for events/activities. Recruit volunteers and act as a liaison between volunteers and event chairperson. Send thank you notes to volunteers. Keep records of volunteers for each activity and provide to chairperson.
