Overlaying a Brief Record

Brief Records are temporary catalogue listing for items that need to go into circulation without delay.

Open Cataloguing Tool

• Click on Smartport item.

• Click on Infohio box.

• At bottom of page click Connect.

• Type in ISBN of item.

• "Warning, Matching Record Exists" will appear on screen.

• Click Ok

• Click Close

This new record will have more information and a picture of the book for your online student catalogue.
