Book: CPM Core Connections Geometry (CCG)
General Course Outline:
Throughout the year we will cover the following topics: Geometric patterns, triangle properties, polygons, angles and their properties, circles, algebraic patterns in geometry, area, surface area, volume, Pythagorean Theorem, trigonometry, and similarity.
Class Expectations:
Students should come to class prepared every day. Materials needed for class are: something to write with, notebook, textbook, and electronic device.
Homework:
Homework is meant to be practice of the new material learned in class. Each homework will be graded as follows: Score of 5 (completed) or a blank (either not finished or never turned in-not a penalty).
Late Work:
Late work is not accepted in my classes.

Tests/Quizzes/Projects:
Tests will be given every 2-3 weeks after completion of a chapter.
Quizzes:
There will be a homework quiz every week. This is to check understanding of the material covered that week. Problems on the quiz are similar to those on the new material covered during the week.
Grading: Student grades will be calculated using total points earned and a weighted system.
Homework/classwork- 5% of total grade
Test- 80% of total grade
Homework Quiz- 15% of total grade
