Mr. DiMuzio
About Me
I have been employed as a high school science teacher for over twenty-five years. I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. I feel fortunate to work in the Mahoning Valley in a profession that is very rewarding. Family is a special part of my life. Our kids keep things interesting. I have two daughters that are college graduates (Bowling Green and Kent State) and a son in sixth grade.
I set high expectations for myself and my students. I have close collaborations with Youngstown State University where I earned a BS and MS in Chemistry as well as my teaching credentials. I have taught classes there and conducted research in the summer that led to five reviewed scientific publications. I collaborate with Dr. Allen Hunter and serve as a CCP Instructor for the YSU Chemistry Department College in the High School Program. I was nominated and named Penn-Ohio American Chemical Society Teacher of the Year in 2006. I coach LaBrae High School's Academic Challenge Team.
