Outline Biography
Farhad Khoshnaw works as head of Department of Petroleum Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at The University of Koya in Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He his holding MSc. in Petroleum and Gas Engineering, School of Science, Computing and Engineering, University of Salford - Manchester (United Kingdom) in 2013 and He completed his B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from Koya University in 2009. Mr. Khoshnaw has worked previously as a skilled upstream oil and gas industry engineer, project supervisor and petroleum engineers leader. He got experience on a variety of aspects fully relevant to petroleum engineering science, such as oil field supervision and working as senior production engineer in one of the Oil Companies in Kurdistan Region.
He found his initial inspiration in the research while he was doing his masters degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering at The University of SALFORD, UK under the title of MSc dissertation of Production Optimization using Gaslift Technique in 2013, collaborating a case study to his project from Kirkuk Oil field through taking some wells having Low production rate and used recent petroleum relevant Software. This made him to gain extensive skills of research in the latest techniques of production optimization. Additionally, Farhad achieved distinction in his Masters degree which was a unique and recent approach as his project simulation results fulfilled with the real outcome of implementing the same technique at Kirkuk Oilfield.
