Outline Biography

Basima is a Lecturer of Accounting in the Department of Administration and Economics, where she joined the work at Koya University since 2012. Before that she was at AL-Basrah University (assistance researcher 1982-1987, Assistance Lecturer 1987-1992), at Al-Mustansiriya University ( Assistance Lecturer 1992-1994, lecturer 1994-2000),AL-Hodaida University /Yemen(2000-2006), The University of Science and Technology /Yemen(2006-2011), Hayat Private University for Science and Technology /Erbil (2011-2012).

She gained a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from AL-Basrah University in 1982, M.Sc. degree in Accounting from Baghdad University in 1987, and Ph.D. degree in Accounting from the Al-Mustansiriya University, in 1998.

Dr. Basima was the head of the accounting department at AL-Hodaida University /Yemen, where she had achieved 2 workshops and 3 scientific fairs, she prepared the proposal of adding the department of Banking and financial sciences, the proposal then was agreed next academic year.

At The University of Science and Technology /Yemen she was the academic supervisor for the accounting department and the Banking and financial sciences department in the distance learning for one year, then she was the head of the Banking and financial sciences program in the financial and managerial sciences department, she had achieved 1 workshops and 1 scientific fairs.

In Hayat Private University for Science and Technology /Erbil she was the head of the accounting department.

Basima's research interest includes the following fields;

1.Cost Accounting .

2. Managerial Accounting.

3. Professional Ethics.

4. External Audit.

5. Taxation.
