Outline Biography
Barham has worked at Koya University since 2014 as a reservoir engineering lecturer in the Department of Petroleum Engineering. He worked as an assistant engineer at the same university before that.
He began his engineering career in 2007, when he was accepted to study Petroleum Engineering at Koya University, where he graduated with honors in 2011, placing first in his class. Barham earned his MSc degree in 2014 after receiving a grant from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to study MSc at Heriot Watt University, Institute of Petroleum Engineering (IPE). Since then, Mr. Barham has worked with a number of universities in both the public and private sectors, teaching courses such as Fundamentals of Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Simulation, Reservoir Management and Monitoring, and Reservoir Rock and Fluid Properties.
Research Interests
Barham's research interest includes the following fields:
1. Application of Nano-Technology in oil and gas industry
2. CO2 sequestration
3. Reservoir Characteristics
4. Reservoir Modeling
