2nd Century AH/ Eighth AD was the start point of appearance of some schools of jurisprudences and later became an independent jurisprudential doctrines , some of those schools are the Hanafis, Malikis,Shafii and Hanbali .

one of those schools is Shafii which spread in many parts of Islamic world , thanks to their followers. Kurdistan was one of the areas Shafii spread in and to some extent SHafii became the most famous school of jurisprudences in Kurdistan.

This thesis focuses on SHafii in Kurdistan From the advent of Seljuks to the end of Abbasid caliphate . This Thesis is out of three chapters , in chapter one , we study the emergence of the doctrine Imam Shafii and prosperity In the Islamic wolrd . Second chapter is devoted to Shafii school in kurdistan and regions where spread of this doctrine. Third and last chapter is is out of three axes which is a study between Shafii school and other jurisprudential schools .

The Thesis ends with a set of conclusions we have reached through our study of this topic
