How many years have you been teaching?
This will be my 23rd year teaching elementary school.
Which grades have you taught?
I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grades.
Where did you go to college?
My undergraduate degree from UW-Madison was a Bachelor of Science with a major in Elementary Education (Grades 1-8) and a minor in Psychology. I am also licensed to teach English. My postgraduate degree from Lesley University was a Master of Education in Creative Arts and Learning. Since obtaining my M.Ed., I have taken many classes and participated in workshops focused on literacy, math, coding, technology, and assessment. I have also obtained my Reading Teacher 316 license.
Do you have any children?
Yes, I have two daughters.
Do you have any pets?
We have an outdoor cat that has adopted us.
What are some hobbies or things you enjoy doing outside of school?
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy being outside, reading, playing card games, and going to the track to watch my husband race.
