Teaching Info
I began teaching at KHS in 1998 soon after computers classes started being offered to students. We have seen many versions of "MS Office" and KISD has kept up with the newest versions. My computer classes use MS Office 2016 and we are happy with this software.
At one time I taught shorthand and typewriting, but those classes are obsolete. Students now think I am making up squiggles when I show them shorthand. Now we make tables, images, charts, brochures, forms, spreadsheets, hyperlinks, web sites, and publications and much more and with all kinds of editing. I believe with all my heart that what I teach is a valuable tool in our education.
Personal Info
I am from Alice in South Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M University. Whoop! Soon after graduation, I married a fellow Aggie, John Lockman. We lived in Alice and I taught in nearby Agua Dulce for five years then moved to East Texas due to my husband's transfer with FESCO, Ltd. I stayed home to be with my three sons, Luke, Jake and Todd. When my youngest son was in 7th grade, I started teaching again and I was fortunate to be at KHS. Now my boys are all out of the house with jobs of their own. All are married and have produced the most precious grandchildren (7 so far)!
