Welcome to Mrs. Lockman's website! Every year there are many changes and change is good. (However, the pandemic is not good.) Learning to teach online is a good change because technology is ever changing and this gives us all an opportunity to use new skills. I really look forward to teaching this year. I love teaching computer classes. I love watching students learn even though sometimes it is a challenge. There is always something students don't know. I love seeing those A-ha! moments. (And me too, I learn from the students and the new versions of software!)
I want parents to know that I want to teach your child like he/she is my own child. I have seen my own children miss educational opportunities when a class day was not productive. Everyday, I strive to have the student learn something and then apply that knowledge.
Whether your child takes a career path with Technology, Business, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Health Science, or Marketing, CTE wants to empower all students to be successful citizens, workers and leaders in a global economy.
I am excited to teach the students of Kilgore High School. I want to make them confident and happy they enrolled in my class.
