My name is Johna Tritt, and I am excited to be a part of the Kilgore High School Faculty. I am a graduate of West Rusk High School, University of North Texas, and Stephen F. Austin State University. I have been working in public education since 1994, and I cannot imagine doing anything else!
I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have three children. My daughter, Meredith, is a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2015, Whoop, and is a Trauma Nurse in the metroplex! My stepson, Logan, lives and works in Tyler, Texas, and my stepdaughter, Lindsey, is a graduate of UT Tyler is a business owner in Tyler. Additionally, I am the director of the Jackson Huse Foundation which was established in memory of my son who died of pediatric brain cancer at age 6. Our foundation works to provide scholarships to bereaved siblings.
I have been fortunate to have parents that gave me a true East Texas upbringing and instilled values and life lessons that I count on each day. I am blessed to have family, friends, and former students who are excellent examples of how to live life to the fullest.
I love teaching and learning, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with students at KHS!
