Hello!!! I am honored to be starting another year with the fifth grade students at Potomac Elementary School. I have been a teacher at Potomac for 9 years and feel so lucky to work with staff who are just like family to me.
King George is my home and I have lived here for 17 years. I have four sons and one of them attends Potomac! My oldest son started Potomac when he was in kindergarten and he has now graduated and moved on to the workforce! My two middle children are going to sixth and eighth grade this year and I couldn’t be more excited for them! Originally I am from Waldorf, MD but I had the pleasure of spending many summers and holidays in King George county with family. I possess a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Master’s in Management. Switching careers came very naturally as I’ve always had a respect for the field of teaching and previously worked as a substitute teacher in Jacksonville, FL. I wanted a career where I could truly make a difference and I found it in teaching. I completed courses at Old Dominion University to obtain teacher licensure in Virginia. I am looking forward to working with students this year! Potomac Elementary School takes the quality of the education they provide seriously and every staff member works with intention to meet the needs of all students. With professionalism, diligence, and thoughtfulness, I plan on delivering a positive and fun instructional experience. Bring it on 2023-2024 school year!
