Native American Websites & Resources

Destiny

• • Login to Destiny.

  • Enter in the information you wish to search just as if you would as if you were looking for books.

  • Once the search is complete, click on the Websites Tab. This will change the search from books to pre-approved websites.

  • You could also click on the One Search Tab. This will change the search from books to databases with information on your topic.

  • A really cool thing about these two options is that you can save the websites and databases to your list in Destiny. Just click on "add to my list" on the Quick Details page (it shows up when you hover over the website with your cursor) or Drag and Drop the site over to the right into your personal list.

Databases

• • Go to the KSD Library Databases page on the library website.

  • Two recommended databases include:

  • World Book Kids - Use the search tool

    • If you need more information, click on the World Book Products link on the bottom left hand side of your screen. Choose Student to do more of an advanced search. The text will be more challenging, but more detailed info could be included.

    • If you are using this outside of school you will need this to login:

      • username: kewaskum password: indians

  • Badgerlink - Go here to click on Britannica - Elementary School (If you are accessing from home it may ask you to enter a public library card barcode to access it)

    • Click on I’m An Elementary School Student

    • Scroll down and click on Britannica - Elementary School

    • Use the General Search

    • Level 1 is the text level we should be using for 4th grade
