Class Rules & Expectations

I use rules as a way to set limits so that my students can have a sense of security as to what the limits or boundaries are. Futhermore, I feel there has to be consequences when rules are broken. Rules are the most effective when there are consequences to enforce them.  For every action there is a consequence whether it is a positive one or a negative one. Consequences are a result of the student's actions or choices. Below is a list of my rules for my classroom.

1. Follow directions quickly.

2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.

3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.

4. Make smart choices.
