Chromebook Care
We are fortunate enough to have Chromebooks available for our use. In order to make sure that we have access to these for years to come, we need to treat them with care. Here’s what we need to do:
When unplugging-do so gently
Carry the Chromebook closed and with two hands
Set the Chromebook squarely on the desk, do not let it hang over the edge where it can get knocked off
Keep water bottle on the floor to avoid water damage
Make sure your hands are clean and you keep food away from the Chromebook
When not using your Chromebook, close it to save the battery
At the end of the period make sure to log off
Plug your Chromebook in to make sure it gets charged- look for the light

New Library Sign-In Process
🆕Canva for Education now available through Clever.
All Kelso students now have Canva for Education accounts available through Clever. You will no longer be able to access Canva outside of Clever with your district Google account, but it's really easy to access it through Clever. Just click on the Canva tile and you're in!
🌟How to Keep Your Google Files🌟
Announcements: Seniors (and those leaving Kelso)- Don’t lose your files or get locked out of accounts! It's a good idea to clean out your Google Drive account before you leave Kelso. Inactive accounts will be deleted a few months after you leave. Luckily, it's easy to export documents out of Google Drive and transfer them to another account or computer following these directions. You should also update any online accounts that use your Google address. You can update the associated email to a personal account by going into the account settings.
Swank Student Account
Your teachers now have access to a video streaming service called Swank. They might share a video link with you through Google Classroom. This requires a login in order to access the video.
Username: Your Skyward Username (usually lastnamefirstname)
Password: Hilanders(your grad year)- example: Hilanders2025 for class of 2025.
Click on the link above, or the image below to access the Gale Library site. Search for Kelso and choose Kelso High School. No password required if you access this site from schools. This is a great site for research. If you access it outside of school you can use the password - hilanders.
