Third Grade Content

Language Arts:

The district chose a new reading series, Journeys.

Writing will be taught through writer's workshop. The district's writing program is called Teaching the Qualities of Writing. Students will be taught a variety of strategies to experiment with in their writer's notebook. They will then self-select certain pieces to take through the rest of the writing process: drafting, revising, editing and publishing.

Mathematics:

Our math program is enVision Math. Math is taught through math workshop. The mini lesson followed by math stations.

Social Studies:
