Article l - Name, Purpose, Values, and Non-Discrimination Policy of the Organization.

Section 1: Name: The Tech Club

Home of Kamaile Robotics-Senior Division and Navigator Campus News

 

Section 2 - Purpose:

The Tech Club will do a once a week broadcast of campus news, special stories and announcements relevant to the Kamaile campus. The Tech Club will also broadcast the daily Ol`i Live via campus TV, along with maintaining a bulletin board system.

The Tech Club meets on a daily basis to improve their robotics skills.

 

Section 3 – Alignment with Kamaile Core Values

-3(a) - Na‘au Pono:

·         All club members believe in fair and equal opportunity.

·         Increase student interest in and pursuit of engineering, science, and technology careers

·         Engage students in exciting, fun science-based activity

·         Enlist business/industry to become partners in education

·         Win The BEST Award

 

-3(c) - Laulima:

·         Our community advisor community advisor will be Darren Panoke, owner of Cyberwest Computer Services, a TADDS Enterprises Company. Since our club involves itself with projects and competition outside of the school we will depend on our community advisor to assist our club with information and expertise.

-3(d) - Ha‘aheo:

      · Increases understanding of technical concepts and scientific principles

      · Provides real-world engineering challenge.

      · Encourages abstract thought, self-directed learning, and decision-making

-3(e) - Olakino Maika‘i:

·         After school snacks and drinks will follow federal nutritional guidelines

·         No unapproved snack will be allowed to consume during program hours.

 

Section 4 - Non-Discrimination Policy:

·         All student organizations must state that they will avoid all forms discrimination. You can use the following statement or something similar: “This organization and its members shall not discriminate against any individual(s) for reasons of age, color, disability, gender identity or expression, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status.”

Article II - Membership: Qualifications and categories of membership.

 

All members of the Tech Club have a deciding vote in all activities involving the Tech Club , in case of a tied in the vote the vote will pass to the faculty member for the decision. Budgetary matters will be handled by club officers and advisors.

Article III - Organization Leadership: Titles, terms of office, type of selection, and duties of the leaders.

President – Ian Sholtis, Duties to include calling meeting of the club, Fundraising, Robotics sections

Vice President – Jennifer Mahuka, Duties to include fundraising, Electronic News publication, broadcast stories, helps the president in its absence

Secretary – Paulina Esteban, Recording of the minutes during club meetings, gathering all club paper work for proper posting.

Treasurer Copeland Talkington, Duties to include the upkeep of the club budget, work with webmaster to post treasurers report to the website.

Webmaster – Rexel Boter, Duties to include posting of the minutes from the secretary to the website, General website changes, uploading pictures and information to the website, Work with advisors to see that information is within school, CIPA and FURPA federal guidelines.

Article VI – Method of Selecting and/or Removing Officers and Members.

Membership drives happen once a year and the beginning of school. Once members are selected by interview and commitment criteria they will have a vote in officer elections.

Officers are elected by member nominations and final popular vote.

Removal of any officer or member will be the sole discretionary responsibility of the student advisors and faculty members.

Article VII – Faculty and Community Advisor(s)

Faculty advisor’s must attend as many meeting as possible for the club to lend expertise and direction when ever possible. Our faculty advisor will be Mrs. Debbie Panoke a second grade teacher.

The Community advisor will lend the business know how, pulse of community thru       outside school information and mentorship in areas of expertise. Community advisors must attend as many meeting as possible as their schedules allow. Our Community advisor will be Mr. Darren Panoke, owner of Cyberwest Computer Services, a TADDS Enterprises Company.

Article VIII – Meetings of the Organization: Required meetings and their frequency.

The Tech club meets every Wednesday to plan the broadcast information.

The Tech Club will hold a month meeting of all its members to go over new business that may arise.
