Hello Friends,

This week in English Language Arts we will be finishing the book and wrapping up our argumentative essay, as well. We had a long week of benchmark testing last week, so we are thankful to be back on our regular schedule!

We will read a poem titled, "The Ballad of Birmingham" and analyze it for tone, theme,vocabulary, and comprehension. The argumentative essay is due on Wednesday, along with the kiddo's completed peer reviews. Please check with your student to ensure this is completed and ready to submit. They have worked really hard on this assignment and done a terrific job!

We will be taking our unit 5 assessment on Thursday. There is a study guide available in Google Classroom for this test. The completed study guide can be turned in for possible extra credit on the assessment. To be eligible for extra credit, the completed guide must be turned in no later than Thursday before the test!

Also, please remind the kiddos to charge their computers and have a pencil for class every day!
