Classroom Information

Classroom Supplies

The school supplies needed for my classroom are: 3 ring binder (size 1 and half or 2), 5 tabs, composition notbook, set of 24 colored pencils, paper, pencil, and blue or black pen.

Assignments

All assignments are done in complete sentences unless given different instructions.

All assignments are due the next day unless other wise indicated in class.

Assignments are accepted for each unit up to test day. After the test is taken, assignments not turned in will become zeros in the grade book.

Grades are updated in campus at the end of the week. If a students has a M, this means the assignment is missing.

When absent, the student has two days as indicated in the Student Handbook to make up his or her work. All makeup work will be available in the metal file folder in the back of the room except for notes.

Grading

You will be graded in many different ways throughout the year. This will include tests, quizzes, worksheets, labs, group or individual activities, projects,
and participation. The grading scale for the class will be the same as the grading scale for Douglas Middle School.
93 - 100        A
86 - 92          B
78 - 85          C
70 - 75          D
0 - 69           U

For work that is turned in late, there will be points taken off.

The policy for this class is 10% of the total amount of points for the assignment.

Assignments for that unit have to all be in at the end of the unit. If not turned by that time, the assignment will become a zero and cannot be made up.

Assignments can be corrected for half credit. For example, if a student has minus 10, then he or she can get 5 points back. Tests and quizzes are final and cannot be corrected.
