The 2026-27 school year will be my 17th year as a teacher at Jonesboro High School. I have 3 children of my own, Brax is 16, Hynlee is 7, and Hadlee is 2 years old. I teach AP US History, AP Comparative Government, and AP Government and Politics. As the Lead Teacher of the BCAL Academy, I help students to find their way into one of our college/career tracks with the assistance of our academy counselor, Stephanie Pointer, and Career Coach, Austin Copenhavor. I love to teach and that love of history content and instruction and that passion lead to me becoming Nationally Board Certified in the Fall of 2019. I completed my MSE in Education Leadership, and became licensed as an administrator in 2021. .Â
