PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for students to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. This scholarship program is the most prestigious scholarship, only given to the top 1% in the nation. The PSAT is given in the fall, with the qualifying year for the scholarship being the Junior year of high school. Students younger are welcome to take the test for practice.

WJHS is a testing site for the PSAT/NMSQT. It will be given during the month of October. If your student is interested in taking the exam, please bring a check or cash for $20 to the guidance office by the set deadline. Information will be sent each fall pertaining to testing date and deadlines for fees.
If your student needs special testing accommodations that are usually given to them in the regular classroom, please contact Heather Schuerman when school starts so application for special accommodations can be completed. missie.heady@jessamine.kyschools.us.
