3/17/2020 Hello parents! This is Miss Jodi-the speech-language pathologist. We will be using Remind to stay in touch while school is not in session.

4/30/20 Hello! I hope you have been enjoying the activities I send home weekly. Please see the documents below and open "Distance Learning Picture Scenes." These are a great resource for all preschool students from Autism Little Learners (autismlittlelearners.com). There are picture scenes that also have prompts for parents so you can personalize it to your child's needs. Let me know with any questions. j_maag@jenningslocal.org

4/8/2020 Here is a video with a fun outdoor activity. I explain how to adapt it to your child's communication level. https://youtu.be/mlUYhBu9_ag

Some other ideas for Easter/Spring based activities: hide eggs and work on using location words like "in, on, under, behind, beside." Describe the different colors, patterns, and shapes on eggs. Have your child make choices when completing a craft (for example, painting, coloring or decorating an egg with stickers).

3/26/2020 Hello Preschool Parents! I want to share a favorite page for those parents that are on Facebook. You can type @MrsSpeechP into the search bar. Go check it out and give it a like! She provides easy and awesome suggestions on how to help your child improve pretend play, language and fine motor skills at home.

Cincinnati zoo is showing live videos featuring different animals every day. This is a great way to help your child learn new vocabulary and expand his/her language skills.

Here is a link to a video that I made :) with ideas on how to help your child improve his/her language skills (based on the zoo animal videos or animal books). https://youtu.be/SvTJYhM_9_w
