A mallet is a useful first project for a few reasons: you can build it mostly from cut-offs/scrap, and it will provide a tool you can use for the remainder of the year. There are many different styles and methods which we will discuss in class. Here are a few videos to get you started.
Tensegrity is a combination of tension and integrity. It is an "impossible" construction where it appears that the top piece is floating above the bottom piece.
