5th Grade

Mrs. Hoskins

Welcome to our 5th Grade web page! Fifth grade is such an important and exciting year for students. It is a pivotal year, and students will meet many challenges throughout the year as they learn to write more effectively, read with deeper meaning, and develop higher mathematical skills. I believe in the importance of a strong partnership between parents and teachers. Together we can empower students to grow with confidence and to reach their fullest potential.

I am excited for a wonderful school year! 2022-2023 is going to be the best school year yet! I will do everything possible to keep your children safe, as well as educate them at a high level. I look forward to partnering with you!

Homework

Fifth graders should read independently 20-30 minutes every day at home. Students are also encouraged to practice multiplication and division facts at home. Your continued support with reading and math facts really does make a difference!

Students should fully charge their Chromebook at home every night before school the next day. Chromebooks are used daily in multiple subject areas. I don't have extra charging cords in the classroom and have limited outlets for student usage. Thank you for your help with this.
