Now in his 43rd year of coaching, Coach Bell brings an incredible depth of experience and heart to our program. A mainstay in the coaching community, he spent much of his career at D’Evelyn, where he dedicated 23 years to Track & Field, 19 years to Cross Country, and 3 years to the softball program. Erik’s lifelong commitment to student-athletes is at the core of everything he does, and he is passionate about helping every athlete find their stride and reach their full potential.

Coach Bell has been guiding our runners for nearly three decades. She first joined the Track & Field staff in 1998 and expanded her impact to the Cross Country program in 2002. With a deep well of expertise that spans from the explosive power of sprints and hurdles to the grit of distance running, and even a season of high jump, she is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of running and building a foundation of health and confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Coach Carl Bunch joins the D’Evelyn family with a wide-ranging coaching background and a passion for supporting student-athletes. A proud parent of an energetic eight-year-old, Carl brings great energy to the track and is eager to contribute his diverse experience to the Jaguars in any way possible. He is dedicated to helping our athletes find their stride and building a foundation for lifelong success both on and off the field.
Craig Dougherty

Long Sprints
Now entering his third season at D’Evelyn, Coach Dougherty brings a wealth of experience to our sprinters. Before joining our staff, he spent six seasons coaching at the collegiate level. Originally from Ohio—Craig competed for Walsh University, a Division II school in North Canton Ohio. His 4x400 team hit the National qualifying mark and the school record indoors and outdoors still stand from 2015. His 4x200 relay team in high school also still holds the school record from 2009.
John Hettich

Coach John Hettich has been a dedicated mentor in Colorado high school athletics for over 20 years. After getting his start coaching girls' basketball at Sheridan and D’Evelyn, John joined the Mountain Vista community in 2013. He transitioned to the track in 2017 and over the next seven years, he specialized in sprints and relays, helping athletes find their speed.
Alex Inscoe

Short Sprints | Throws
Coach Inscoe in his 7th year of being an assistant Coach at D’Evelyn High School. During those 7 years he has had the privilege of working with the sprinters, sprint relays and now throwers! Between his years of running at the high school level at Golden, at the college level for Western and Metro State and now coaching, this will be his 15th overall season around the sport of Track and Field. Alex is excited to continue to be able to give back to the sport that gave so much to him as well as his community!
Claire Kintzley

Horizontal Jumps
A Maryland native and former Colorado School of Mines track and field athlete, Coach Kintzley is eager to enter her first year of coaching jumps. During her time as an Oredigger, she was a First-Team Dll All-American and the program record holder in the triple jump, with additional experience competing in the long and high jumps. Claire now works as a software developer in Denver and holds a Master’s degree in Data Science.
Grant Redmond

High Jump | Pole Vault
Coach Redmond competed in collegiate track and field at Colorado School of Mines in the high jump and javelin! He has also spent extensive time around pole vault, long jump, and triple jump. He looks forward to coaching everyone, and hopes to help get some PR’s this season!
