Teacher Bio
Greetings!
My name is Stacey McSkimin and I am a member of the history team. My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2005 after being born and raised in Ohio. We both love our adopted home and the beauty, lifestyle and opportunities it has afforded our family. We share twin daughters, both of whom attend D'Evelyn. I have been a high school teacher since 2002 and a Jag since 2013. My journey began with an undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Ohio University and I also hold a Masters in History from the University of Colorado, Denver which I completed as a James Madison Fellow. I love teaching and approach each new year with the goal of challenging and cultivating each young person in my class to grow in their intellect, knowledge and skills. It is my hope that each leave with a deeper understanding of and passion for learning and the world in which they live and will grow to become active, engaged members of their communities. Go Jags!
