Meet Mrs. Caliga

I am a native of Littleton, Colorado. I am a product of Jeffco schools, where I attended Westrdige Elementary, Deer Creek Middle, Summit Ridge Middle, Chatfield High, and Dakota Ridge High. (No, I didn't transfer schools I just got the opportunity to open the new ones) I love leaving legacies.

I received my undergrad and graduate degrees from Regis University here in Denver. I played basketball there all four years.

This is my 10th year teaching in the district. My first year teaching I had the privilege to teach 9th and 10th grade math at Dakota Ridge. Before retunring to Dakota Ridge l taught 7th and 8th grade math at Carmody Middle for the last 4 years. Prior to that I taught computers at Mount View Youth Detention Center. I am very excited to be back at my Alma Mater teaching a subject for which I am very passionate. I became a business major because of my experience at Dakota in the business /marketing department and I look forward to bringing that same experience to my students.

In my spare time, (hope you see this humor) I am a Realtor for The Urban Mountain Team with my mom. I love applying my business skills to a real world application and hope to bring my experience to the classroom. I also am a health advocate with a company called Juice Plus+. Helping people find an easy way to get good nutrition through fruits and vegetables has become a goal for me. If you are interested in learning more about Juiceplus+ please send me an email and I can send you more information about it.

I love playing and watching all different types of sports and activities. However, I am very passionate about basketball. I have taken my love for sports and have decided to approach life as a game and I LOVE TO WIN!! I also love to laugh and have fun, which allows me take care of business.

Life is a game, you have to play all out.

Please feel free to contact me via email any time with questions, concerns, comments, or just want to say hi :)
