Welcome to 4th Grade!

MRS. PETERSON

I am going to start off by saying how excited I am to be at Green Gables for my eighth year!  I have been teaching in Jeffco for 17 years and am actually a Jeffco student myself. I attended the University of Northern Colorado for my undergraduate degree in teaching.  After that I attended CU Denver and received my Masters in ESL.

On a personal note, I have been married for 15 years and have two kids with my husband Matt. We are the biggest Colorado Mammoth lacrosse fans you will ever meet.  I am also very into Broncos football and pretty much any sport.  Gavin is very active in his competitive lacrosse and football teams. Taytum was a performer in the Colorado Children's Chorale and got to travel internationally to sing and is now using her talents in high school advanced women's group.

I am lucky to have my own kids and get to share in supporting their passions, but I would also like to share in your child's passions.  My "why" is to be here to support every child in and outside of school.  I want every child to feel loved, safe and confident. By supporting their passions, I hope they are driven to do better today than they did yesterday!

 Mrs. Hahn

Hello All! I'm Shannon Hahn, and this will be my eighth year as a 4th grade teacher at Green Gables!

I earned my Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University (GO RAMS!), and went on to earn my teaching credentials from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. I recently completed my Masters in Reading Education from Grand Canyon University.

I was born in California, but moved to Gunnison, CO when I was 12. I currently live in Morrison with my husband, Mitch, who is a middle school ELA teacher (it's a family thing, I guess!). Most of our time is occupied by our 3 year old daughter, Norah, and our 10 month old son, Hayes. They are so fun, and we love watching them learn and grow! In my free time I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, watching football, going to concerts, listening to podcasts, attempting to garden, camping, and reading.

My "why" will always be my students--they are the reason that I love what I do every day! I will always do my best to what is best for them socially, emotionally, and academically. I can't wait to get this year started, and get to know each of their unique personalities. Know that they will be loved and cared for in their days spent in our classroom!
