Meet your Teachers!

     This will be my 12th year teaching.  I took an extended break to raise my three children.  Addison and CJ are twins, they are 17 years old and attend Arvada West.  Brayden is my 11 year old and he is in 5th grade at Sierra.  My husband Bryan and I were both born and raised in Arizona and graduated from Northern  Arizona University.

If I am not at school you will find our family at some sort of sports field:)   Brayden plays both  baseball and football, CJ plays football at Awest and Addison plays competitive  softball (which means we spend entire weekends at a softball field).  CJ and Addison are twins and  just started their junior year at Arvada West.   If we are not cheering  for our kids; we love to go camping, travel and spend time with extended family.

I am excited to get our year started and look forward to partnering with you throughout the year.

     This year will be my 25th  year of teaching.  I started my teaching career right here at Sierra- teaching sixth grade. The next five years I taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades in Lakewood, at Glennon Heights Elementary.  After that I returned to Sierra and taught fifth grade for 8 years.  Then I did two years of sixth grade.   Eight  years ago  I moved to fourth grade and I am super excited to teach fourth grade again this year!

When I am not at school, I am chasing around my first grader, Bradley.  He  is six years  old and we love him so much!  We spent the summer hiking, swimming, and playing! 

This will be my fifteenth year of teaching and my first at Sierra. I have experience in both general education and gifted classrooms and have taught 1st-6th grades. I love teaching and showing students how much they can grow throughout the school year. 

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I have been married to my husband, Jeff for 17 years. We like to be outside, go on “adventures” around Colorado, watching all Colorado sports teams, watching movies, and spending time with our 3 kids.  They keep us going all the time.  Braydon (13) enjoys playing competitive baseball and is a 7th grader at Oberon. McKenze (9) loves doing 

gymnastics, being creative and is a 4th grader

at Sierra.  Kyliegh (4) wants to be with her big 

brother and sister all the time and is starting
