Physical Education Information

Your student is scheduled for Physical Education

every third day followed by art , and music

-If you are unable to have a pair of tennis shoes at school specifically for Physical Education you should wear soft-soled or rubber soled shoes for class.

-dress in comfortable clothes appropriate for movement and activity that adhere to the school dress policy.

-A written doctor's excuse is

required to remove a student from Physical Education.

What will be expected from you in Physical Education?

What will you be learning in class?

We will work together to help you achieve the following class goals:

1. Fitness - We will practice safe exercises for your lifetime of fitness

2. Lifetime Movement activities- We will be learning to become successful, efficient effective movers at their own pace.

We will learn and explore skills needed for movement and different activities, games and sports related skills.

3. Physical activities and Health - do you know why it is important to be active? Address your health and fitness needs through a variety of activities.

4. Self-Confidence and self-acceptance - Mrs Jones is excited to get to know all of you and how you can all move. Everyone who tries are Winners

5. Respect for the differences and capabilities of others - Our expectations and levels of awareness will permit you watch and learn from you.

6. Safety Habits - Since keeping active is so important for everyone. We will point out and practice safety in everything we do.
