Hello, I'm Mrs. Newell. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. My family moved to Colorado in 2009. I earned my degree in History from Oregon State University. I then completed my teacher certification program at Warner Pacific College in Portland and went on to complete a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership from Grand Canyon University. I taught middle school in Oregon for 13 years before moving to Colorado. I have been teaching the past 14 years in Jeffco. I am married with 2 children, Cade 24 (Graduated from Gonzaga) and Maya 21 (junior at Montana State). I love the outdoors: running, skiing, biking, hiking, boating and camping. I look forward to another great year at D'Evelyn!
