Welcome!

        Bonjour!  

My name is Ghislain Sabre.  I was born and raised in France near Paris, but  moved to America because of a girl who became my wife.   Rachel and I have been married 28 years.  We have three daughters: Camille 27, Gabrielle 24 and Juliette 20.  We have 4 dogs:  Sophie, Cubby, Daisy, and Goose.

        I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in French from Pacific Lutheran University in Washington State, and earned a Master’s degree in French Literature at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  I taught French at CU for a couple years while working on my Master's, and I have been teaching both Junior High and High School for the last 17 years.  This year is my 11th year at D'Evelyn. 

        When I’m not teaching, or working my second job at Target, I enjoy cycling, riding my Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and eating éclairs.  I am a big fan of the Beatles and a super fan of the Irish band U2.

One of my favorite things to do is drive or ride cross country and see what beautiful country we live in. This Summer I drove 9,798 miles!  I'm an Americana artifact fanatic, and collect license plates, road signs, and anything to do with the Mother Road, Old Route 66.  My dream is to one day ride my motorcycle on US 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica.   

        It's an honor to be part of D’Evelyn’s faculty, and a Jaguar and like most, I look forward to this year.
