I am in my 8th year as the varsity head coach. I coached at Ralston Valley HS previously from from 2002-2009. I was a member of the 2003 State Champions coaching staff. I have been a teacher at Ralston Valley HS since 2003 and currently teach AP Calculus and Architecture. I graduated from Pomona HS and received a basketball scholarship to South Dakota School of Mines. I then graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and then went on to get a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University so I could become a teacher and work with kids. I am married to Jenny Braketa who is also a teacher at Ralston Valley HS and played college basketball at Regis University. We have 3 boys and 1 daughter together.

This is my 8th year as head JV coach. I graduated from D'Evelyn High School where I played basketball all four years and helped lead the team to a state championship my senior year as well as a third place finish in State my junior year. Growing with a great group of friends throughout the years and finishing with a state title made me realize the impact of hard work and effort. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I try to pass those lessons learned down to my players as a coach. I started coaching basketball right out of high school, making this my 20th season as a coach. I graduated from CSU with a major in Business Finance. I received my Master's Degree from Regis University in Education. I currently teach Geometry and Honors Geometry at Ralston Valley. My wife, Stacy, also teaches math at Ralston Valley. We have 2 daughters, McKinley (6) and Monroe (4).
