Hi, I'm Bryan Ardan. The 2022-23 school year will be my 11th year at Kyffin Elementary. I have been teaching for 18 years. I taught 2nd - 5th grade during that time. This will be my second year teaching kindergarten. I have a great wife named Marcie who enjoys having nothing to do with teaching but would rather work with numbers all day! I love to spend time camping, hiking, fishing, reading, and running. We welcomed a new puppy named Rya this summer. I live in Littleton but try to maintain a strong connection with this community.
I'm looking forward to spending the year with your little learner. Kindergarten is such an exciting time for you and your child. We have lots to do and learn, and the growth you will see over the year will be amazing. My door is always open for you to come and be a part of the fun. We strive to build a family of learners through work and play, and we want you to be there to take this journey with us.
Sometimes going to kindergarten is harder on parents than it is on kids. Remember to stay positive and excited and assure them that school will be lots of work but lots of fun. It is a magical time in their lives and yours. Here’s to a great year!!
Nuts and Bolts-
We have a long day and two daily snack times. Please send a healthy, quick snack like a granola bar or fruit (No puddings, yogurts, or Go-gurts please) packed separately from the child's lunch. We will be washing hands before snacks. Most days we will be eating snacks outside.
Please write your child's name on everything that is brought to school.
Most work and notes from the classroom and office will come home in Friday Folders.
Most communication will be done over email. My preferred email is bardan@jeffcoschools.us
We are not allowed to have birthday treats in class but will happily sing out of tune to each child. You may donate a book in your child's name to our classroom library.
Library check-out will happen every Thursday and kiddos will get to borrow one book to be returned before the next library time.
Volunteers are welcome in the classroom at predetermined times.
