Welcome to JCS 3 Year Old Class

    Hello Parents! Welcome to Jackson Christian’s 3 yr old program. My name is Sarah Patrick and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2024- 2025 school year. I hope you have been enjoying a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a great year together. 

     For those of you who don’t know me already, let me share some personal information. I am a TN native but have definitely moved around a bit. I am an alumni of Jackson Christian School ℅ 2001 and have 2 children of my own. Evie graduated from JCS in 2023 and Ben will be a Junior here this year. This will start my 8th year working in the ELV. I worked with JrK my first year, worked with infants for 5 years, and this is my third year with 3s. I also run the after school care, holiday care, and summer camp programs for the Early Learning VIllage. Before coming to JCS I worked as  a cosmetologist for 12 years. 

     Our assistant is Ms. Sydney Watson. She writes: “Hi! My name is Sydney Watson. I graduated from Jackson Christian School in the year 2018. I began working in the Early Learning Village that summer with our summer camp program. After graduating from Freed Hardeman University, I began working in the ELV full time as Ms. Sarah’s assistant. I am also the assistant coach for the Middle School basketball program. I am very excited for a fun school year and can’t wait to get to love on your kids and watch them flourish.”

     On Monday, August 5, we will host a parent orientation in our classroom, room K22 in the ELV. I will meet with parents in groups. If you feel that you need to have a meeting with me individually for any reason, please let me know and we will plan a different time.  I will give you lots of information about the school year and answer any questions you may have. It is best if the children do not come this day due to the amount of information we will discuss. Orientation times will be 8:00, 8:45, and 9:30. Please respond to this email with which time works best for you. If you are unavailable to meet with me at these times just email me and I will be glad to set up a time. 

     With students in the ELV, you will use a barcode to sign them in and out of school. If you are new to JCS or if you need a new barcode card, please sign up for one HERE.

     The supply fee is $100 and will be billed through your FACTS account. This covers the cost of all supplies for your child. So you can be prepared, here are a few items you will need to bring on the first day of school.

 Tuesday, August 6:

• a backpack large enough to hold a folder and change of clothes 

• three containers of baby wipes

• two packs flushable wipes

• three boxes of kleenex 

• a spill proof cup or spill proof water bottle (this will stay at school and be washed daily)

• any item that your child may want to nap with (a small pillow, blanket, or stuffed animal) 

 Please be sure all items are labeled with your child’s name!

      As parents, you are a vital part of your child’s education. I appreciate the opportunity to serve your family as your child’s teacher! You are encouraged to be involved in our classroom this year. I will let you know at orientation about opportunities for you.
