Good Afternoon,
We had an amazing week talking about plants and flowers. We ended the week planting some seeds and are hoping to see what they will grow in the next few weeks. We will keep these at school for a week or so and then I will send them home. All pictures will be uploaded to our webpage for you to see. With that being said, I am hoping we have fixed the issue with our webpage where many of you could no longer accept it. If you are still having trouble, please let me know.
Next week, we will be talking about the letter Ww and all things weather. On Friday, we will preform some fun STREAM activities and make a tornado in a bottle and show how clouds collect rain. Show-n-tell on Friday will be an object that starts with the letter W.
Next week, we will also start leading chapel. We will join Mrs. Katies class and begin leading over the next few weeks in prepartion for our Bridging Ceremony and to get ready to lead in elementary. The following students are leading on Tuesday and we would love to have at least one family member attend for each. Chapel starts at 8:05 in the ELV TownHall (Gym).
Gentry and Merritt - School Song
Cooper and Mason - Psalm 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."
Nash and Eli - Jesus Loves Me
Emmett and Hayden - Blue Skies and Rainbows
Brooks and Myles - My God is so Big
Joanna and Harper - Pledge of Allegiance
On Friday, May 1st, we will going on our last field trip of the year. We will go to the Children's Museum of Memphis. We do not take buses in Junior K so you will be in charge of taking your child and meeting us there. The field trip starts at 9:30. We want everyone to be there no later than 9:15. The last few years, we have started at the carousal and this is the only time we are allowed to ride it. I do not want them to miss this, so please plan to be there early. After the carousal, you are free to go at your own pace throughout the Museum. We need to know how many of you are attending. Please use the following link to sign up and pay. Forms and payments are due by April 24th. Field Trip Link
Just a few reminders:
Don't forget to send in snacks and water-filled water bottles each day.
We start our circle time at 8:05 each morning. If you child is coming in late each day, they are missing vital instructional time.
Remember to have them write their names correctly. For example, Julie- not JULIE, julie, or JuLiE. Only the first letter should be a capital letter.
