2025 Summer Reading for 

Upcoming Second Graders

We encourage children to read as many books as possible over the summer. The more they read, the more their reading skills will improve.   The requirement for the summer before second grade is that your child read to a parent ONE chapter book from a series listed below.  In addition to this requirement, please encourage your child to read additional books from this list, RAZ KIDS, or any other books you have at home. Allowing them to choose the books they enjoy will inspire them to read more.
