2024 Summer Reading for 

Upcoming Second Graders

We are encouraging your child to read as many books over the summer as possible! Allowing them to choose the books they enjoy will inspire them to read more. The more they read, the more their reading skills will improve.   The requirement for second grade is that your child read ONE chapter book from a series listed below to a parent during the summer.  In addition to this requirement, students are encouraged to read books from this list or other books of their choice. Write the book titles down on the “Summer Reading Challenge” Log that has been provided to you by Mrs. Jeanna.  Please turn your log into your classroom teacher the first week of school.
