Logistics

There are a wide-range of hotels close to ISKL. They vary in price and proximity to the school. Our preferred hotel is Element Kuala Lumpur where ISKL's visitors stay at, for its high standards and nearness to the school. However, Somerset Kuala Lumpur ApartHotel and Stripes Kuala Lumpur are other options. Please see here for more details.

Our security personnel will require you to register at the school campus entrance. Please ensure you bring your Eventbrite registration ticket to receive your visitor lanyard. All participants are asked to wear the visitor lanyard provided whilst on campus.

Kuala Lumpur can receive rain at almost any time of the year. Humidity ranges from 96 percent in the mornings to 65 percent in the evenings. Bring light, breathable clothing to minimise sweating. Long sleeves, a hat and sunglasses are recommended as the sunlight can be strong and the average day temperature is about 30 degrees celsius. Please check the Malaysian Government's weather forecast site for more information.Most shopping centres and office buildings are air-conditioned so it is easy to escape stifling mid-day heat.

Taxi kiosques are inside the terminal, after baggage collection, but before the arrivals lounge exit. Buy a taxi coupon here and then use it to pick up a taxi curbside. From Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), taxi fare is between 30 - 40 USD to downtown KL and takes just over an hour.

Participants are responsible for organising their own transportation from their hotel (accommodation) to ISKL each workshop day.

For those staying at the Renaissance Hotel, the trip to the school usually takes 15 minutes in the morning and about 20 minutes in the afternoon. Please use Grab app if you do need to use taxis.

Parking

Parking is very limited at the School campus on weekdays. Parking spaces cannot be reserved and are allocated (where available) by our security personnel. We recommend that you use public transport, taxi or the courtesy bus if provided by the school to attend the workshops.

Internet is available throughout the workshop in ISKL. Please connect to "SSID:ISKL" and follow the instructions provided at the event.

Most nationalities can get a tourist visa on arrival at the airport in Kuala Lumpur. Please check with your travel agent in advance and allow sufficient time for processing your visa (if required).
