Chris Riley - Head Varsity Coach

Coach Riley, is a 1991 graduate of Elk River Senior High School, he was a 2 year letter winner and starter in the infield playing second base and shortstop. As a senior he was awarded all-conference honors and team MVP as the team captain. Chris also played for the Elk River Red Devils amateur team for 4 years. Chris was also a 2 year letter winner in both Football and Basketball as well and was a member of the 1990 Elk River Football team that took 2nd in state. Chris graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. in Physical Education and a Coaching minor with a Masters degree through St. Mary's University. He has spent 10 years coaching in the Zimmerman Youth Baseball Organization, 2 years coaching as an Elk River High School Baseball assistant and is currently in his 19th year with the Zimmerman High School program and 12th season as the Head Varsity Coach at Zimmerman High School. Chris has also been an assistant varsity football coach for the thunder for 19 seasons before handing up his whitstle after the 2025 season. Chris lives in Zimmerman with his wife Kim . Their 2 sons Mack is a Bemidji State graduate, and Alex a Winona State graduate. Away from school/coaching you will find coach enjoying time at the lake fishing and spending time with grandkids.

Tony Abramowski - JV Head Coach

Tony Abramowski is a 2010 graduate of Buffalo High School where he was a 2-year varsity baseball starter, playing 2nd/3rd base and shortstop. He was a member of Buffalo's first qualifying team for the Minnesota State Legion baseball tournament. Tony was also a 2-year letter winner in varsity football at Buffalo High School. He has coached 9th grade softball in Sartell and middle school boys basketball in Maple Lake. Tony is MSHSL certified as a baseball/softball umpire and as a basketball official. He graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. in Special Education and is currently teaching at Westwood Elementary. This is Tony's 8th season on staff.
Jaime Erdmann - 9th Head Coach
Coach Erdman is a 1993 graduate of Hancock High School. He was a 3-year letter winner in baseball and starter playing first base. He was awarded all conference honors his Junior and Senior year. He also was a member of the Benson-Hancock Legion baseball team that won the state championship his junior year and was State runner up his senior year. Coach Erdman was recruited to play for South Dakota State University, but his career was cut short before he got a chance to play there. Coach Erdman was also a letter winner in Football being a part of the state entrant team in 1991 and Basketball. He graduated from Alexandria Technical College with a degree in Marketing. Coach Erdman has coached Basketball for 13 years including 5 years at the High School level. He also coached football at the youth level for 5 years and has been a part of the Zimmerman varsity staff for 5 years. Jamie Lives in Zimmerman with his wife Korrin. His oldest son Tristyn is a Zimmerman graduate, and his three daughters, Addy, Izzy and Oliva are currently in middle school at ZMHS
